This lemon marinated tuna is an amazing break from the norm. It tastes amazing and boasts low fat, high protein and you can adjust the carbohydrates to suit if your bulking or cutting. A complete meal for any bodybuilder here guys enjoy.
150g Tuna Steak
1Tbs Lemon Juice
50g Tender Stem Broccoli
50g Mange Tout
50g (Uncooked Weight) Wholegrain Rice
Mix together the lemon juice, lemon zest and all the herbs into a bowl. Then you can add salt and pepper to taste.
Now you can place the tuna steaks in a resealable bag and pour in your lemon and herb mixture. Rub this all over the steaks then put them in the fridge and allow to marinade. Do this for a minimum of 30 minutes but you will get a better taste if you leave it overnight.
Next to do is prepare your vegetables. I roasted my broccoli and asparagus for 15 minutes on 200 Degrees Celsius. While you are doing this you take out your tuna steaks from the fridge to get closer to room temperature. 5 minutes before the end of cooking the vegetables you need to place your tuna steaks onto a hot griddle and fry for a couple of minutes each side.
All you need to do now is serve your tuna steaks with your vegetables and choice of carbohydrates. In this instance I chose wholegrain rice and had 50g (uncooked weight) to make my macronutrients up. However, you could use potato or sweet potato if you like. The main thing is enjoy this meal as its simple but very tasty.
