This protein snack has the look of a normal cookie but with much lower calories, and the macronutrients are very reasonable for any gym user for a sweet fix when they need it. It has over 10g of protein per cookie and only 114 Calories too. It taste good and you don’t have to feel guilty when you eat one.
1 Sachet of Chocolate Orange (Whey Box)
40g Ground Almonds
1 tbs Cocoa Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
30g Mixed Peel
2 Egg Whites
1 tsp Orange Flavouring
1 tbsp Zero Calorie Maple Syrup
Preheat your oven to 160 degrees celsius. Then mix your oats, flour, cocoa, baking powder and whey into a bowl.
Next you need to mix / whisk your egg whites, orange extract and maple syrup in a separate bowl.
Now you just mix together the two mixtures until a dough forms. At this point you can fold in your peel.
Next you need to spoon the mixture into a baking tray and flatter into 9 cookie shapes. Then just place into the oven for around 15 minutes, or until they are cooked through.
All you have to do now is take them out and enjoy. You could just eat as they are or if you wanted an extra special treat you could top them with Grenade spread and a Terry’s Chocolate Orange segment.
